Design ACB have been commissioned by a private client to design a contemporary extension to an end of terrace house in this sought after location in London. The building is Grade II Listed, as a result any proposals need to sensitively reflect the historic fabric of the dwelling.
Through consultation with the local Conservation officer, Design ACB have designed a contemporary rear and side extension whilst retaining the historical features of the building. The proposals include the complete refurbishment of the existing house, a new open plan kitchen dining area and a new glazed extension to the rear. The existing basement will also be extended to provide a media room, utility space and mater bedroom suite.
The internal arrangements provide modern and contemporary living within a constrained historic plan form.
