BCoT Construction Learning Centre

Design ACB have produced designs for the extension of the Construction Learning Centre at Basingstoke College of Technology. The proposed works include improvements to landscaping and access arrangements on the north side of the campus.

These preliminary designs have been produced as part of a funding application and will form Phase II of the overall development of the Worting Road campus. The south site is in the process of being developed (Phase I).

The extension to the construction block is designed to minimise disruption to learners during the building works. It is adjoined to the existing building through a simple glazed link. A series of disparate stores and external working areas will be amalgamated into a new timber clad compound at ground floor level together with a new brickwork workshop. Two classrooms and a decorating workshop form the two-storey element of the design.
