Learning

Prior to establishing Design ACB, the directors have been responsible for the design and delivery of a number of award winning primary, secondary and tertiary education projects from inception through to completion. As a practice, we are fortunate enough to have been able to continue our work in this field with a number of exciting educational projects.

We believe that well designed environments can stimulate learning; a good school will both foster the development of young people and act as an asset to the surrounding community. We are well versed in working together with headmasters, students, teachers, parents, local authorities and members of the local community as a critical part of the design process. We also recognise that not all education projects can be new build ‘start from scratch’ designs and that often constraints are set by existing facilities. Our work is often about turning these constraints into opportunities in order to unlock the true value of a site.
